About Carl F. Bucherer

Carl F. Bucherer traces its history to 1888, when Carl Friedrich Bucherer opened a watch and jewellery business in Lucerne, Switzerland. The company remained in the ownership of the Bucherer family until 2023, when Rolex acquired the Bucherer group.

In 2008 the company introduced the CFB A1000, an automatic calibre with a peripheral rotor mounted around the edge of the movement. Its successor, the CFB A2000, followed in 2016. Its collections include the Manero, the sport and dive-oriented Patravi, and the Heritage line.

In February 2025 the Swiss business press reported that Rolex had decided to discontinue the Carl F. Bucherer brand.
