Longines Avigation Oversize Crown Single Push-Piece Chronograph L2.783.4.53.2

Longines presented the Avigation Oversize Crown range in 2013, based on one of its 1920s aviation watches. The large onion crown sits away from the case on a long stem, so it can be turned while wearing gloves. Here a single push-piece works the chronograph. It runs on the L788, an automatic monopusher chronograph calibre with a column wheel, developed by ETA for Longines as the A08.L11. Small seconds sit at 9 o'clock, a 30-minute counter at 3 and the date at 6.

The same 41 mm steel case and black dial carry the time-only Avigation Oversize Crown (L2.777.4.53.2), which uses an ETA 2895, and the Avigation Oversize Crown 24 Hours (L2.778.4.53.2). The subdials are what separate the three.
